Smiles with Every Last Stinkin' Drop!!!

Cade has an obsession with orange juice. He is so obsessed that he likes to get every drop from the container.

The only other person I know that loves orange juice so much is......my Dad. Cade knows that if I tell him no more orange juice his "papa" will always give him some. They love it with every meal and in between!

Jackson smiled at me today and I kind of caught it on camera! We are loving that he is growing up and showing us his personality everyday. Wild hair and all!!!

Where are the ladies at?????

When we went to Jackson's newborn checkup with our pediatrician they tested him for jaundice. He started out not bad but wanted us to have blood work done the following day to make sure his numbers were going down. Unfortunately the numbers went up and were increasing slowly. We had to admit him into the pediatric unit of the hospital and let him soak in the bilirubin lamps for the night. He loved laying in the warmth and rarely wanted to come out of it to eat.

Brian and I laughed because his hair is dark like mine with blond streaks throughout. His is natural, mine is not!!! Now he is tanning (not really)!!! He is starting early to catch those ladies HAHAHA!!!!

Jackson Max Webster

Jackson arrived on May 18,2009 at 5:48 pm. He weighed 7 lbs 2.1 oz. and 20 inches long. We made it to 37 weeks- to the day- and we were very happy! Cade is a GREAT Big Brother and has taken to the changes with ease! We love having Jackson as the new addition to our family. Here are a few first pics of Jackson and his pile of hair.

Denver

We headed out to Denver in March to have one last trip before the baby is born. We decided to take Cade to the Downtown Aquarium and Denver Zoo. We picked a great weekend! The days was 75 degrees with a slight breeze. It was a perfect getaway and Cade loved all of the animals he saw. He talked about it for days after!

Soooooooooo tired.......

30 weeks and ........counting!!!!

I say counting because we are hoping that it will still be at least 6 more weeks until this baby is born. Yesterday evening Brian had to take me to the hospital because I was having contractions. At first I thought that it was growing pains on the side of my belly. We had some friends over to play and I was feeling pretty good. We waited around for Brian to get home from helping his friend and then proceeded to Sam's Club to get groceries. As we were walking I got some really sharp pains that made me stop in my tracks and hold onto the shelves. I was trying not to worry Brian so I did this behind him. After one really painful one I just said "Brian!" He looked at me and said "Home Now!"
When I went to see the Doctor earlier in the week she warned me that if I had 4-6 braxton hicks within an hour I needed to go to the hospital. Well......I have no idea what braxton hicks feel like because I have never had them. These contractions were totally different from Cade. I called my Sister in Law Katie and asked her what her contractions have felt like and after talking to her I decided to ride it out a little longer. They never went away. I called the Doctor and she told me to come into the hospital.
Sooo...... I am not on official bed rest yet but I am on resting majority of my day. I have to have a companion when I leave my house and Cade is at my parent's house when Brian is at the station. This is the first day I have not had him and it has been a little rough. He hasn't missed me yet and when I went over to see him - he was napping. I, of course, snuck in and kissed him all over his little face. Brian will pick him up Monday morning and bring him home for four days and then he goes back to Grandma and Grandpa's. I am back on meds that make my heart race and lots and lots of bloating. We need to get this baby's lungs developed. I feel bad for my husband because he tries to be positive and encouraging and tries to hide his fear when I just want to break down and bawl. I love that he makes me laugh and bends over backwards for me. I know that I can be unreasonable at these times and he takes it in stride. (Even contemplating getting me donuts at 6 in the morning when we are under a winter storm watch and he needs to be to work in an hour. I told him to forget about it. He is more important than donuts!)
In all else thanks for all of your thoughts and prayers!!!
